ISLAMABAD: Police have apprehended more than two dozen workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) in connection with attacks on Parliament and the PTV building.
Sources said majority of the arrested workers belong to PAT.
Arrests were made at entrance and exit points of D-Chowk. The accused are being interrogated over the attack on Parliament House and PTV.
Sources said police had made contact with NADRA for identification and other information of the accused. Footages from various TV channels had also been obtained to recognize the attackers.
Police had also recorded statements of higher officials of the State Television.
Demonstrators had stormed PTV building and occupied it for around half an hour before being removed by army on September 01.
