MULTAN: Senior politician, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has called for a judicial inquiry of the Multan stampede in which seven people were killed after a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally.
Speaking to reporters at his residence here on Saturday, Hashmi said when he attended the funeral of the Multan tragedy victims they were chanting slogans of ‘killer’ against PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Hashmi added he could not comprehend why the rally could not be held after October 16 if the PTI was not taking part in the by-elections.
The senior politician told reporters the families of the victims wanted to lodge a FIR against the leadership and representatives of PTI.
