ISLAMABAD: Former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Justice (retd) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said on Monday there would be no compromise in his defamation case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
The former CJP spoke with media after offering condolence to Advocate Akram Sheikh on the passing away of his wife.
“This is a high-profile case and if Imran Khan considers himself as a respectful person he should also know that everyone in Pakistan is respectful."
Justice (retd) Chaudhry dismissed allegations leveled against him by Imran Khan and said the PTI chairman did not even know what a Returning Officer did. “Imran had sold-out to Musharraf,” the former CJP said.
When asked of his intentions to join politics, the former CJP neither confirmed nor denied this.
Justice (retd) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry further said he was not aware of the number plate issue regarding his vehicle.
