ABU DHABI: Pakistani batsman Ahmed Shahzad has been rushed to a local hospital after he was hit by a bouncer on the side of his head during the first test match against New Zealand.
The opener missed a bouncer from fast bowler Corey Anderson. It hit him on the side of the head and his bat struck the stumps for a hit wicket dismissal.
Ahmed Shehzad made a career-best 176 before falling in unusual fashion as Pakistan reached a daunting 347-2 at lunch.
