LONDON: Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri said on Tuesday his party has no relation with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf as both the parties have different programs.
Addressing a party convention, the cleric said: “Those who are part of status quo and involved in corruption could not become our allies”.
He said that formation of Joint Investigation Team for investigation of Model Town tragedy was a futile practice.
Qadri said that the Punjab government had not arrested a single suspect in connection with the Model Town incident.
Qadri called for capital punishment for those involved in spreading sectarian hatred and claimed that situation could be improved only after the execution of some people.
He said that both civilian and military governments had never helped common people in Pakistan. “We have never seen democracy in Pakistan for even a single day,” the PAT chief said.
