LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chief Dr Tahiurl Qadri returned to Pakistan on Thursday.
His flight landed at the Allama Iqbal International Airport where a large number of PAT workers and his followers have gathered to welcome the firebrand cleric.
On August 14, Qadri had led a long march from Lahore to Islamabad and camped in the heart of country’s capital for over two month, demanding resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He called of his sit-in on October 21 and announced to spread his movement across the country.
Later he embarked on a foreign trip which stirred up a debate about underhand deal which the cleric categorically rejected. He, however, conceded that his sit-in had failed to unseat the prime minister.
Qadri announced to visit Data Darbar from the airport along with his followers.
