Dr Khalid Mahmood Soomro laid to rest in Larkana

LARKANA: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Sindh secretary general Dr Khalid Mahmood Soomro was laid to rest in Larkana, Geo News reported.

The funeral prayers of Dr Khalid Soomro was held at Municipal Stadium near Naudero Chowk. JUI-F Central Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri, Maulana Attaur Rehman, Agha Matiullah, large number of JUI-F activists and family members attended the funeral.

Later, Khalid Soomro was buried near the mosque of Somra Farm House.

Dr Soomro was offering Fajr prayer in Gulshan-e-Iqbal SITE, Sukkur when armed terrorists entered the mosque Jamia Haqqai and opened indiscriminate firing. He was being shifted to hospital when he breathed his last.

The body was brought to his native village Naudero. He was an MBBS doctor but he opened a big seminary in Larkana where thousands of students get education. He left behind six sons and three daughters.
