Govt held institutions in full esteem: Shah

RAWALPINDI: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Khurshid Shah Wednesday said that the government respected all the institutions, Geo News reported.

The minister said that they (the government) would go to the court in its honour unlike the one who, in the past, went to the same trampling everything in his way like King Porus’s elephants.

Talking to newsmen after attending an event at Rawalpindi Hajj Complex, he said that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani’s appearing before the court would prove that we held the judiciary in due esteem.

He also told media that Khuddam-e-Hujjaj would not be allowed to perform Hajj this year
