Judges appointment body to meet on Jan 30

ISLAMABAD: The parliamentary committee for appointment of judges will review the proposal for confirmation of 8 additional judges of the Sindh and Lahore high courts during its meeting scheduled to be held on January 30, Geo News reported Tuesday.

Names of four additional judges of Lahore High Court - Justice Yawar Ali, Justice Mamoon Rasheed Sheikh, Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan and Justice Syed Mazhar Ali Akbar Naqvi - had been seen to the parliamentary committee for confirmation.

Sindh High Court has also sent four names to the committee for confirmation. They are: Justice Nisar Sheikh, Justice Muhammad Tasneem, Justice Syed Hussain Azahr Rizvi and Justice Dr. Muhammad Ali Mazhar.
