ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister A Rehman Malik on Friday said the strength of anti-corruption and prosecution staff of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would be enhanced aiming at making the agency more efficient.
Talking to newly appointed Director General FIA Javed Iqbal, who met him, he said the vacancies in FIA would be filled on priority basis.
DG briefed the minister about the performance of the FIA.
Rehman Malik felicitated the new DG and hoped that the Agency would progress during the tenure of Javed Iqbal. The minister assured his cooperation to the DG.
The DG thanked the minister for taking personal interest in resolving the problems of FIA.
Malik directed the DG to improve the performance of FIA and all possible resources would be utilized for capacity building of its officials.
