LAHORE: Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly, Raja Riaz, has said that PPP and PML-Q candidates would sweep the senate polls, Geo News reported.
Talking to newsmen outside Punjab Assembly building, he said that if PML-Q’s Senate runners fell short of votes, PPP would do all it could to fill the gap.
Riaz, who was flanked by Chaudhry Zaheerudding and Kamil Ali Agha, also held out a categorical claim that the rumours doing rounds these days were short-lived and would cease to exist as soon as the election results came to fore.
