KARACHI: Roll Signing Ceremony (RSC) of newly enrolled advocates for Supreme Court was held on Saturday at Supreme Court of Pakistan, Karachi Registry in which 32 lawyers including Mian Raza Rabbani were awarded certificates.
Speaking at the ceremony Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that rule of law was the only way towards a stronger democracy.
He also said that in the presence of an independent judiciary no system other than Constitution could prevail in the country.
He said that constitutional institutions including judiciary are working in their domain and it is the right track for progress and prosperity of the country.
The chief justice hoped that lawyers would perform their duties for the supremacy of the constitution and law and assist the courts in dispensation of justice.
He said that lawyers as citizens would also abide by the law and the constitution.
The ceremony was attended among others by the judges and senior lawyers. (APP)
