Peshawar High Court issues notices to IG FC and Deputy Attorney General

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has issued notices for Inspector General Frontier Corps and Deputy Attorney General for recording a false statement regarding missing persons.

Chief Justice PHC, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan heard the petition relating to missing persons Sartaj and Saddam on Wednesday.

Sartaj and Saddam had gone missing from the Mohmad Agency on February 2012. During the last proceedings the Defence Ministry has stated that they had no knowledge about Sartaj and Saddam.

According to the record of the Agency Headquarter Hospital, Sartaj and visited the hospital for treatment on February 19.

During Wednesday’s proceedings, Major Iqbal from the Frontier Corps informed the court that Sartaj and Saddam had been accused of attacking security forces and had been transferred to an internment center.

The Chief Justice PHC issued notices to IG FC and Deputy Attorney General and ordered that free treatment be provided to Sartaj who is a TB patient immediately.

The court has also ordered that evidence against Sartaj also be presented.
