Each govt ally responsible for people's plight: Chaudhry Nisar
ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in National Assembly on Saturday held each coalition partner of the PPP-led government responsible for deteriorating condition of the people, Geo News reported.

He was talking to media men outside the Parliament House after staging a walkout during President Asif Zardari's speech to the joint session of the parliament.

Lauding opposition parties' unity inside the parliament, Chaudhry Nisar said all the opposition parties whether in the National Assembly or Senate joined the protest during President's speech.

"The President set a record of trade, bargaining and deal making," the Opposition Leader said in a derogatory tone, adding, the President's coalition partners were also involved in the dealings who increased their rates on every issue.

He deplored that for the first time in the parliamentary history independent media was sent out of the assembly. "If the President could, he would throw them not just out of Islamabad but the country," he added.

Commenting on the DG ISI Lt. Gen. Ahmed Shuja Pasha's retirement, he said 'with his retirement a revolutionary party became orphan today'.

He said he was amazed at President's speech, keeping in view the worse condition of institutions. "It seemed as if Zardari sahab was referring to some other Pakistan," he criticized.

He said the President while conveniently avoiding to mention people's real issues, only talked about people's prosperity. "Pakistan has been turned into an epicenter of problems and the country's future has become insecure in the hands of the present rulers," he warned.

The kind of behaviour, Nisar continued, the government had meted out to the judiciary was in front of everyone, adding, 'had we listened to the President's speech in silence, it would have been excessive to the people of Pakistan'.

When asked to comment on black day being observed on the call of Muttahida Qaumi Movement in Karachi, Nisar said even kids were aware of the fact as to who were responsible for introducing the trend of extortion in Karachi.

He said those who call themselves 'kings of Karachi' were staging a 'drama' before the people.

The opposition leader lamented that it was like thieves had joined the victims and raising a hue and cry against their own acts.
