KARACHI: Mari Gas Company Limited has started supplying 44 MMSCF per day gas to Sui North Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL)from March 10, Geo News reported.
A notice, issued by the gas company to the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) on Tuesday, said the company has achieved the hallmark of supplying more than 600 MMSCF per day of gas from the MARI field.
MARI is one of the major players in the Oil & Gas exploration sector of Pakistan.
Moreover, the company has also commenced production from its Oil well, Halini X-1 in Karak Block in which MARI is enjoying 60 percent share in the joint venture. The current rate of production is 650-660 barrels per day.
The Company’s investment plan for year 2011-12 also includes commencement of development work on its Zarghun South (ZS) gas/condensate project in Baluchistan which would cost around US$60 million and bring on stream 20MMscfd gas for transmission to the Quetta.
It is expected that enhanced production by the Company shall continue in making significant contributions for meeting the rising energy demand of the country.
