Abbottabad Commission quizzes senior officials
ISLAMABAD: Abbottabad Commission Wednesday extensively quizzed some senior officials to push the probe into US raid on Osama bin Laden’s house further, Geo News reported.

Pakistan’s DG Foreign Affairs on America, Deputy DG Civil Aviation Authority as well as senior air-traffic controllers from Islamabad, Lahore, Chaklala, and Chirat appeared before the commission formed to probe the US-Nato incursion.

It is worthy of mention the purpose of the probe is to find out as to how American helicopters, which took off from across the border in Afghanistan, flew hundreds of miles into Pakistani airspace undetected by all the radars in the way, landed in Abbottabad, killed al-Qaeda leader, and got away with it before the authorities could know.

The Commission met here under the chair of Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal.

The officials briefed the Commission on the technical aspects of the whole air-traffic monitoring as well as radar system on ground.
