Karachi school cracker attack: Police nab suspects
KARACHI: Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi police Ghulam Qadir Thebo on Saturday said that many suspects have been arrested in connection with the school cracker attack that had taken place a few days back in an area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal town.

Talking to Geo News, AIG Thebo said some progress has been made in the investigation as suspects in custody were interrogated by the police.

Thebo said that Karachi police was combating with terrorists in the city and that the police was not involved in fake encounters.

Unknown assailants had caused a cracker attack outside a private school in Block 7 of Gulshan-e-Iqbal early on Tuesday morning, striking fear into children, parents and school managements throughout the city.

The attackers also left behind some leaflets printed in English and Urdu, saying the explosion was carried out to warn the LEAs against executing their associates, adding that more attacks would follow if the hangings did not stop.
