President was quoted out of context: Farhatullah Babar

ISLAMABAD: Presidency spokesman, Farhatullah Babar has said that parts of President Asif Ali Zardari’s speech in the Lahore Peoples Party meeting have been quoted out of context, Geo News reported.

In a statement issued here, Babar clarified that President had said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto still held sway over the hearts of people.

He said that President’s words were that Shaheed ZAB still, while lying under tons of earth in his grave, commanded the same admiration and following like he had in his heyday.

He added that what President Zardari meant to say was that millions turned out at his mausoleum only to register the awe & reverence they felt for the great leader even when he was long gone.
