QUETTA: Unknown gunmen on Friday killed Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) provincial leader Maulana Mohammad Qasim in Saryab, Geo News reported.
According to police, the JUP Balochistan chief was killed when gunmen opened fire at his house. He was severely wounded and rushed to hospital but he succumbed to his injuries before reaching there.
The attackers successfully fled from the scene, police told.
His body was shifted to Civil Hospital while investigations were kicked off.
The supporters of JUP protested the killing of Maulana Mohammad Qasim at Saryab Road.
