ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari Monday called for harnessing true potential of youth for a progressive and modern Pakistan.
Addressing concluding session of Pakistan Leaders of Tomorrow - Youth Outreach & Mobilization effort -Summit organized by Information & Broadcasting Ministry here, he spoke of challenges confronting Pakistan and said "instead of pointing fingers toward others we will have to look inwardly to find a solution to these."
He stressed need for improving image of the country. He said ever since he assumed power he has been pleading for trade and not aid during interaction with leadership of other countries. "We can benefit a lot through economic interaction with our neighbors‚ Central Asian Republics and Russia," he observed.
President Zardari said during his private visit to India on April 8, 2012‚ his message to Indian government was that "we have to learn to live with each other."
He said he gave his powers to the parliament voluntarily as he always believed in service to the people. Pakistan has a bright future and potential of youths is a guarantee for that, he noted.
