GILGIT: As a result of successful negotiations between government officials and the kidnappers, around thirty-three people who were snatched during riots in Hunza Valley have been recovered safely, Geo News reported.
Sources told Geo News that the captors released the abductees after official negotiators brought them around successfully.
The abductees were released from Nagar and would reach their homes in Gilgit soon.
A civil judge and a health officer are also among the released abductees.
Sources also said that all the people recovered are in good health.
During April 3 riots, more than 20 people were killed in Gilgit and Chilas in sectarian attacks. Several vehicles were also torched.
