Gujranwala building collapse kills five

GUJRANAWALA: A commercial building located in the Satellite Town area, here collapsed on Friday as a result of gas cylinder explosion, killing at least five people including two children and injuring 13 others.

According to the rescue sources, the incident took place when a gas cylinder exploded in a sweets shop, resultantly a three storey building of a super store collapsed due to which five people lost their lives while 13 others sustained injuries. Several more people also trapped underneath the rubble.

Rescue sources said that top floor of the super store was under construction which collapsed after the cylinder explosion after which fire broke out on second floor of the building which took whole building into its grip.
