Dacoits have a field day in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Dacoits robbed millions of rupees from cattle traders near a police check post on Samundari Road and fled from the scene without any hindrance, Geo News reported.

Some 18 cattle traders returning from Peshawar after selling their herds of cattle had just reached near a police check post on Samundari Road, when six armed dacoits in police uniform riding a car blocked their way and allegedly stole Rs8 million.

The victim traders staged a protest on Samundari Road and blocked the traffic.

SSP Sadiq Dogar recalled that the same gang a year ago had robbed the traders in Nishatabad area, adding that this gang would be nabbed soon, he said.
