ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has directed the government to form a Saraiki bank. According to the Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar, President Zardari said this while speaking to industrialists and traders in Multan.
President Zardari further said that he had directed the government to form a new bank to cater to industrialists and traders belonging to south Punjab.
President Zardari added that in the past banks were used for political purposes but the present government would ensure that banks would no longer be used for these purposes.
