ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday said Pakistan Navy was the protector of country’s sea frontiers and assured that the government would meet all professional requirements of the Navy.
He was talking to Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila who called on him at the Prime Minister House to discuss professional matters. The Naval chief apprised the Prime Minister of various welfare projects being undertaken by Pakistan Navy for its personnel and also for the people of Balochistan by providing them education and health facilities.
The Prime Minister agreed to the request of the Naval Chief to grace the forthcoming passing-out parade as chief guest.
He also appreciated Pakistan Navy’s initiative to continue inducting lady officers who were performing equally well at all Naval branches. (APP)
