MULTAN: In what is being termed as a big upset for Pakistan Muslim League-N, the candidate of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Thursday won a by-election on PP-194 Multan-1, defeating Moinuddin Qureshi, according to unofficial results.
Usman Bhatti of PPP bagged 20416 votes to defeat PML-N's Moinuddin Qureshi who had 20097 votes cast in his favor.
It is pertinent to note here that the seat of PP-194 Multan-1 had fallen vacant following PML-N's MPA Shahid Mehmood Khan joining of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
