By-elections on NA-151 Multan on July 19: ECP

ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday announced schedule for by-election on NA-151 Multan-IV of the National Assembly, which fell vacant following the disqualification of Yusuf Raza Gillani as prime minister.

According to a press release issued by ECP, the poll will be held on July 19. As per schedule of the by-election, on June 25 and 26 nomination papers of the candidates will be received by returning officers.

Scrutiny of the papers will be done on June 28 and 29 while last date for filing of appeals against decisions of the returning officer rejecting or accepting the nomination papers will be July 2.

Last date for deciding appeals by the tribunal will be July 4 while last date for withdrawal of papers will be July 5. Revised list of candidates will be published on July 6. The ECP also announced the district returning officer and other presiding staff for the polls.
