Expressed his annoyance over the delay in completion of Dharampura drain and the complaints relating to open manholes in the metropolis, Punjab chief minister ordered the suspension of lax officials including MD Wasa.
Shahbaz Sharif directed earliest completion of Allama Iqbal Road extension project and warned that any delay would not be tolerated.
Later at the Minar-e-Pakistan camp office, he ordered for evolving an effective system for the maintenance of the playgrounds in the city and said that the government lands should be retrieved from the land grabbers for making playgrounds over there.
Shahbaz Sharif said that separate playgrounds for women were also being constructed. He said that the new face of Punjab would emerge by promoting sports and horticulture.
