A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the contempt of court case against Rehman Malik today.
During today’s hearing, the CJ addressed Rehman Malik and questioned him on forming a new investigating team while the matter was already under scrutiny. The committee was formed following the court’s orders so why did he interfere by making changes.
On this, Rehman Malik told that he wanted to present his submissions before the bench. The court advised him to hand over his submissions to the court office.
Later, the hearing was adjourned till July 23.
It is pertinent to mention that the SC had issued him contempt notice for interfering in the Steel Mills corruption case during its pendency with the court.
