ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Friday (SC) issued notices to all respondents in the controversial Memogate case, including ex-ambassador to the United States Husain Haqqani and the whistle blower Pakistani-American businessman Mansoor Ijaz.
A nine-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will hear the case on July 12, 2012.
The judicial commission tasked with probing the Memogate scandal has already submitted its report to the apex court according to which Haqqani had found guilty of authoring the memorandum - the document delivered to US officials seeking assistance to overthrow the top military brass of the country.
However, Haqqani on his Twitter account strongly denied the accusations pertaining to his alleged involvement in the controversial memogate scandal.
