LAHORE: Talks between the protesting Young Doctor's Association (YDA) and senior doctors failed to achieve any compromise, Geo News reported.
A second round of talks between the YDA and senior doctors is scheduled for Sunday evening. Prior to these talks, the YDA general body met and decided that if their demands are not met, they will surround the CM House on July 5.
The young doctors have put forth three conditions to end the strike continued since June 18. They also demanded that Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif should assure them of fulfilling their conditions.
Their demands include appointment of Medical Officer directly in Grade 18, stipend of post-graduate equal to same as of Medical Officer and bringing health professional allowance equal to basic pay.
