ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman, Imran Khan on Monday demanded of the Chairman NAB, Fasih Bukhari to resign over the latter's statement in which he said the Bureau would not reopen political cases.
"What good is Chairman NAB if he will not reopen cases against politicians," Imran Khan said while addressing a news conference on the occasion of former Punjab minister Saeed Qureshi's joining the PTI.
He also urged the Supreme Court to take a suo moto notice against the NAB Chief.
Imran Khan claimed that Malik Riaz, the business tycoon, brokered an understanding between N-League and Asif Zardari. Both the parties had to joined hands after they became afraid of Tehreek-e-Insaf, he added.
"Why did Nawaz Sharif step back in memo case after Asif Zardari's name surfaced in the scandal?" he asked.
Terming the doctor's strike in Punjab as unfortunate, Khan blamed the provinical government for mishandling the issue.
To a question, he said Awami Muslim League leader Shaikh Rashid has invited him to the latter's public meeting to be held in Rawalpindi on August 13. He said he would attend the event.
