KARACHI: In a positive development for the inflation-stricken people, the prices of food items have started to ease in the wake of decline in petroleum products' rates, Geo News reported Monday.
Atta has dropped Rs1 per kilogram to Rs29, making the 10-kg bag of Atta available at Rs290, while the price of tea has decreased by up to Rs60 per kg.
Chairman Wholesale Grocers Association, Anees Majeed told Geo News that the effect of cut in POL prices has started to become visible.
He said prices of other food items will also witness decrease if the transport fares are brought down.
