IGP Sindh Fayyaz Leghari calls on President Zardari

KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Fayyaz Leghari, Thursday called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House to brief him about the law & order situation in Karachi, Geo News reported.

President Zardari during the meeting directed the IGP to move heaven and earth to restore the peace in the province particularly in Karachi, the economic hub of the country.

He said that it was the prime responsibility of law enforcing agencies particularly the police and Rangers to bring about peace, while the LEAs should take prompt action against criminals, and anti-social elements on war-footings.

IGP assured the president of full efforts to maintain law & order in Karachi.
