PESHAWAR: Four newly appointed additional judges of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) took oath Friday after which the total number of judges has increased to 13, Geo News reported.
PHC Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan administered the oath to the new PHC judges, including a woman judge, at Court No 1.
The newly appointed judges include Advocate General Asadullah Khan Chamkani, Rohul Amin Chamkani, Shahjahan Akhundzada and Ms Irshad Qaisar.
The recommendation for appointment of the new judges had been made during a meeting of the Judicial Commission chaired by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on June 30.
