PESHAWAR: Chief Justice Peshawar High Justice Dost Mohammad Khan while talking suo moto notice of the threats to an Afghan coupe ordered police to present the couple before the court on Monday 23 July.
According to the registrar office Peshawar High Court, the Chief Justice Dost Mohammad Khan also directed DIG and Commissioner Hazara to provide protection to the couple and not permit the girl to go out of Darul Aman.
Chief Justice PHC also directed District and Session Judge Abbotabad to nominate a judicial officer to record the statement of the girl inside Women Protection Center.
It is to be worth mentioned that Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court Justice Dost Mohammad Khan took notice of the news about life threat to an Afghan couple which married in Afghanistan and then escaped from there to avoid life attack from their relatives.
The couple reached Abbottabad where police arrested them due to lack of travel documents. 22-year-girl Maryam was later shifted to Women Protection Center in Abbotabad, however, police register a case against the boy Haywad under 14-Forgners’ Act and shifted him to jail. (PPI)
