QUETTA: Unidentified armed men blew up one and a half foot portion of the railway track in the provincial capital on Saturday night.
Police said that the unknown men had attached improvised explosive device with Quetta-Sibi railway track in Sariab area and detonated it with a remote control. Resultantly, one and a half foot portion of the track was damaged. No loss of life was reported. The explosion caused stoppage of railway traffic on the track.
The police rushed to the site and cordoned off the entire area to trace the suspects.
Pakistan Railways teams of engineers and technical staff also reached the site to repair the damaged portion. (APP)
