QUETTA: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has restored the gas supply in parts of Quetta after repairing a pipeline that was blown up by insurgents, Geo News reported Monday.
It took SSGC engineers about six-and-a-half hours to resume the gas supply.
Earlier on Sunday police said that unknown men blew up gas pipeline passing through Western Bypass area near PS Airport and.
As a result of explosion, over one foot long portion of the pipeline was damaged.
The law enforcement personnel rushed to the site and cordoned off the entire area to trace the suspects.
A teams of engineers and technical staff of SSGC also reached the site to repair the damaged portion of the pipeline.
The explosion caused suspension of gas supply to Killi Khezi and Khuclak areas.
