KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has raised issues of deteriorating law and order situation, target killing and extortion in Karachi with President Asif Ali Zardari during a meeting, Geo News reported.
A delegation of the MQM called on the president at Bilawal House in Karachi. The delegation included Federal Ministers Dr. Farooq Sattar‚ Babar Khan Ghori, Begum Nasreen Jalil‚ Sindh Ministers Raza Haroon‚ Dr Sagheer Admed and Mohammad Adil Siddiqui.
Overall political scenario of the country and matters related to coalition partners also came under discussion.
While briefing the media about the meeting, Raza Haroon said the president has directed the prime minister to convene a round table conference to deliberate upon the matters.
MQM has also started contacting all political parties and a delegation of the party will meet PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Munawwar Hassan tomorrow in Lahore.
