ISLAMABAD: The printing of the new computerized voters’ lists comprising of the names of over 84.365 million registered voters have been completed. Geo News reported.
Election Commission sources giving a break up of the registered voters said that the number of male voters registered tallied at 4 crore 77 lakh, 73 thousand, 6 hundred and 92, while those of female 3 crore, 65 lakh, 91 thousand, 3 hundred and 59.
Punjab registered voters total at 4 crore, 83 lakh, 8 thousand, six hundred and 44, in Sindh 1 crore, 84 lakh, 32 thousand, 8 hundred and 77, in Khayber Pukhtunkhaw 1 crore, 20 lakh, 64 thousand, 5 hundred and 59, in Balochistan 32 lakh, 78 thousand, 1 hundred and 64, in in FATA 16 lakh, 75 thousand, 6 hundred and 97, while in Islamabad 6 lakh, 4 thoussand, 8 hundred and 20.
The new electoral lists would now be sent to the Election Commission offices of the relevant districts..
EC sources said that the registration of the new voters could be done until the announcement of the schedule of elections.
