The prime minister congratulated Gilani on the victory of his son Abdul Qadir Gilani in the Multan by-election. The prime minister said that Abdul Qadir Gilani’s victory showed the popularity of the PPP and had silenced detractors.
The meeting between PM Ashraf and Yusuf Raza Gilani lasted for two hours and the two also discussed the political situation in the country.
