According to the MQM statement issued on Thursday night, the both leaders discussed overall situation among challenges facing the country.
During the conversation, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain demanded to finalise arrangements for local bodies elections as soon as possible.
Law and order situation prevailing in Karachi was also discussed, the statement added.
