Power outage hits parts of Karachi

KARACHI: A 200 KV transmission line at Bin Qasim has tripped, plunging various areas of the metropolis into darkness.

According to the details, the areas affected by the power outage includes Defence, Clifton, Tower, Kharadar, Nayaabad and adjoining areas among Mehmoodabad, Akhtar Colony, Kashmir Colony, Shah Faisal, Malir, Korangi, Landhi and I I Chundirgarh road.

According to the KESC spokesman, a 200 KV transmission line at Bin Qasim has tripped due to which various areas of the city is facing power outage.

KESC teams are working to restore transmission line, the spokesman added.

It is pertinent to mention here that residents of Karachi faced the power breakdown previous night as well.
