Faisalabad: Police torture brother of accused
FAISALABAD: A family in Faisalabad has accused local police of brutally torturing a man because they could not find his brother who allegedly love-married a girl against the will of her family, Geo News reported.

Reportedly, a police party raided a house in Mansoorabad area to arrest one, Qadeer, accused of abducting as well as marrying a girl but he or his wife was nowhere to be found by the time cops barged into their house. Disappointed, the desperate the law-enforcers brought his brother, Munir, back with them to the police station and gave him the beating of his life before throwing out him on a road.

Munir’s family, while talking to Geo News claimed that they had no idea whatsoever about Qadeer or his wife’s whereabouts.

“They have gone for quite a while now, we have not been in contact with them also”, Munir’s mother said.

She cried her heart out against the torture her son Munir had to bear for no reason.

“The police are no less than wild beasts, they almost killed my son, I want justice”, she said.

Her voice finally got heard after Geo News ran the report as headline throughout the night, which moved the SSP Operations Faisalabad to form an investigation team to look into Munir torture case.
