Two killed in overnight Karachi firing

KARACHI: Three persons were killed in overnight violent incidents and firing, while one wounded here, Geo News reported.

Meanwhile, two accused involved in robbery and street crimes were arrested after police encounter.

Police said that unidentified persons in a targeted attack murdered Farhan, 22 at sector 11 1/2 in Orangi Town, while some armed persons gunned down Abdul Rahim, 35 at Naval Colony in Baldia Town. Sources said that the deceased was a cable operator in the area.

The third incident occurred in Lyari, where one body soaked in blood was found in the residential flat of Kaisri Building. The deceased’s body at the neck bore marks of some sharp weapon. He was identified as Iqbal, 60.

Police said that Imran involved in street crimes was arrested from Liaquatabad area. The accused was involved in looting the Eid shoppers. Police also recovered a TT pistol and a motorcycle from the accused.

On the other hand, North Nazimabad, Sir Syed police after an encounter arrested one accused involved in robbery, but the other accomplice managed to flee away.
