MULTAN: The funeral prayer of security personnel, martyred sepoy Muhammad Asif was offered in Makhdoom Rasheed area of Multan and he was buried in his ancestral graveyard.
A large number of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) personnel along with the martyr’s relatives and neighbours attended his funeral.
Wreaths were laid on the grave of the martyred on behalf of President Asif Ali Zardari, Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani and Chief of Air Staff.
PAF has announced a compensation of Rs 1 million for the heirs of Muhammad Asif.
Muhammad Ramzan, the father of the martyr Muhammad Asif said that he was proud of his son and if his other sons also got opportunity to serve PAF, he would be happy.
Meanwhile, Sepoy Muhammad Iqbal who was earlier injured in the attack, died in hospital on Friday.
Nine militants were killed after security forces completed the operation against the attackers of the Kamra Airbase early Thursday morning.
