NEW DELHI: The election of Pranab Mukherjee as president of India has been challenged in India's supreme court.
According to Indian media reports, the Indian SC has been moved by his opponent in the election PA Sangma.
Sangma in his petition, challenging Mukherjee's election as president, said at the time of entering the race for the coveted post of Indian head of state the latter was chairman of Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), which is an office of profit.
