LAHORE: A Pakistani delegation comprising of Parliamentarians returned home via Wagah border after paying a five-day visit to India said that Aman Ki Asha (desire for peace) exists on both sides.
Talking to the media at Wagah border upon their return from India, they stressed upon expediting the process for resolution of outstanding issues.
Senator Jehangir Badar underscored the need for working together for establishment of peace in South Asia, elimination of poverty, and economic development in both the countries.
He said the bilateral agreement envisaging relaxing the conditions for visa regime should be signed soon.
The Senator also said that the exchange of senior citizens, students and educationists would be made easy.
Awami National Party (ANP) Senator Haji Adeel said that Pakistan is not an epicenter of terrorism rather it is a victim of this scourge.
Pakistan Muslim League (N) MNA, Khurram Dastagir asserted that in spite of odds sustained attempts will have to be made for the cause of peace. He said not only should there be contact between federal governments of the neighbouring countries but also the provincial governments.
Anushay Rehman said that the returning delegation will submit its recommendations before the Parliament.
