ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Water and Power has said that the country is presently facing a shortfall of 3200 MW.
According to the figures released by the Water and Power Ministry, the country's current demand for electricity stands at 15,950 MW while the supply has reduced to 12,750 MW.
It further said that 5,485 MW electricity was being produced from water while 5,557 MW were being generated through private thermal plants and 1,708 MW by such plants of the government.
