Karachi: Five killed in overnight firing incidents
KARACHI: Five people have been killed in overnight incidents of firing in various areas of the metropolis, raising the death toll to 17 during the last 24 hours, Geo news reported.

According to the police, a man, sitting outside his house located in New Karachi Sector 5J, was shot dead by unidentified armed men. The deceased was identified as Ashraf.

Another man Aqib was killed on Jamshed road in the firing incident. The victim was said to be an activist of a political party.

In Lines Area, unidentified assailants opened fire injuring two people named Danish and Faraz. Both the injured persons succumbed to their injuries on a way to the hospital.

Another man named Zulfiqar Ali was gunned down in Korangi area.

It is pertinent to mention here that 12 people were killed in various incidents of firing and violence on Monday.
